Kristen's Wedding Part II

THE WEDDING DAY
After we got done setting up the reception hall all the girls went out for lunch at the Oak Street Bistro. We had a blast, but I feel sorry for our poor waiter we were a lot to handle! After lunch we all went to the church to start getting ready. Kristen put in a lot of hard work on the front end and it paid off because her wedding day was so relaxing. At the church we all got dressed did our hair and took pictures before the ceremony.

how precious is this!

The ceremony was beautiful. On Saturday August 7th, 2010 at exactly 5:34 (yes, I looked at the clock and remembered what time it was. I'm sappy like that) Kristen and Moe were married.
We danced our way back down the aisle in celebration then headed off to the reception to eat, dance, and have a good time. Kristen danced with Moe, her dad, and her grandpa. They cut the cake, toast were given, flowers and garters were tossed and before we knew it the night was over.

the get away car
This car was restored by Kristen's father. Kristen's mom and dad had it at their wedding and now Kristen and Moe got to carry on the tradition.

After all was said and done the wedding was beautiful and I don't think Kristen and Moe could have asked for a more perfect day. I wish them both so much happiness as they start their lives together. As a friend it is always a blessing when you see your friends dreams come true and I know on Aug 7, 2010 Kristen had a dream come true.

Kristen's Wedding Part I

Its 5:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. I've put this off long enough and now it a perfect opportunity to share with all of you the story of my best friends wedding.
The weekend of August 7th I went down to Conway to be in Kristen and Moe's wedding. For all of you that don't know Kristen and I have been friends since the 9th grade, we lived together for 4 years, and have been through so much together!

THE BRIDESMAID LUNCHEON

When I got into town I went straight to bridesmaids luncheon. This was a time for all the girls to get together have lunch and share advice with Kristen about married life. We ate a beautiful lunch, chatted, and Kristen gave all of her bridesmaids beautiful gifts. We got a key necklace to wear in the wedding, flip flops to wear at the reception, and a jewelry travel bag with our initial monogrammed on the front.

THE REHEARSAL
On Friday evening we all gathered together at the church for the rehearsal. We had a blast but we defiantly needed some practice to make sure the ceremony went really smoothly. After we practiced a couple of times it was off to dinner at Michael Angelo, a restaurant in downtown Conway. The food was fabulous. We had salad, pasta, lasagna, and cookies for dessert!

Moe gave all of his grooms men machete knives! What an awesome gift. I was a little jealous, although I don't know what I would do with one of those.

Caution! Bachelorette Party in Progress!

Kristen's big day is coming quickly so we had her bachelorette party last Saturday. She had no idea what we had planned for her. After we got her all dressed up and ready to go we left for Little Rock. The plan was to paint pottery, eat a nice dinner, then hang out back at the apartment.

STOP NUMBER 1: THE PAINTED PIG

We wanted to do something special that Kristen would really enjoy so we decided to paint pottery. The painted pig is a pottery place located in Little Rock.
Here is their web site you should check them out.
http://www.paintedpigstudio.com/home.html
When we got there we all picked out our pieces and went to work. The outside of The Painted Pig

You can never go wrong with polka dots!!
It turned out so cute.
The best part is that it serves as both a chip and dip bowl and a cake stand.

I think when it comes to painting pottery Laura is a natural.
She walked in picked out her serving tray and went to work!

Life's to short to drink bad wine!
Kristen made herself a wine bottle chiller.

Here I am with my finished picture frame!

STOP NUMBER 2: BONEFISH GRILL

Dinner at Bonefish Grill was so deeeeeelish.
We ordered a variety of food and drinks.

Group photo number 2!

STOP NUMBER 3: KRISTEN AND LAURA'S APARTMENT

After dinner we went back to Kristen and Laura's apartment for more fun. At the end of the night we all ended up siting in the middle of the kitchen floor. We had candy and cake, and some much need girl talk. I couldn't think of a better way to end a perfect day.

Speaking of ending, it is my bed time. I love you all my darling bloggers.
